Getting hands on: Tactile Adjustments

At Mode Pilates, we believe in the transformative power of every movement, every hold and every transition.

One key element that sets us apart from the rest is the emphasis we place on the perfect balance of verbal and hands-on adjustments in our classes.
If you've attended a session with us, you've likely experienced the benefits of a good old-fashioned hands-on adjustment. If you haven't yet, get ready, because it's an integral part of the refined Mode experience that we're eager to share with you.

Our teaching philosophy revolves around finding the perfect balance between verbal group cues and personalised, one-on-one physical adjustments. We see hands-on adjustments not as a sign that you're doing something wrong but as an opportunity to enhance your practice and help you feel the nuanced differences that minor corrections can make.

There is great value in using tactile cueing and feedback to help newer clients and anyone learning an exercise for the first time find a position and understand a movement. You receive a personalised experience, similar to being in a private 1:1 session, yet experience magic of the collective energy of a Mode group workout.

So, you're in the middle of a Pilates flow, and our instructors, like mind-reading ninjas, give you that extra bit of guidance to perfect your form. It's not about major changes; it's those small tweaks that bring major results. It's all about those little details that make a big impact.

The results of incorporating hands-on adjustments into our teaching methodology can be truly impressive. Whether you're a newbie focusing on form and alignment or a Pilates pro seeking advancements and challenging extra layers, our approach is designed to cater to all bodies and levels of experience.

If you haven't felt the magic of our hands-on expert team, join us in one of our studio and discover the Mode method hands on approach.

With love + light,
Laura B x
